KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

1. What’s the fee to attend a SWUG? 

   Let’s get this out of the way first, attending a SolarWinds User Group is completely free.  That’s correct, there is no cost to attend a SolarWinds User Group.
   

2. My infrastructure can’t survive that long without me.  Can I still attend a SWUG? 

   We hear you and understand – that’s why we make sure that WiFi is available at a SWUG for all attendees.  Our only request is if you need to make or take a call that you please step outside to allow other attendees to enjoy the sessions. 

3. I’m new to using SolarWinds products, should I attend a SWUG? 

   Absolutely!  There’s no better place to learn some of the best techniques to keep your infrastructure humming along contentedly.  Aside from the SolarWinds staff and experts, there are bound to be other attendees who were in the same place you are now. 

4. My manager wants justification, what can I do? 

   We can most certainly help with justifying your attendance at a SolarWinds User Group event.  If your management wants a justification letter, you can download one here.  If you need additional information, don’t hesitate to ask.

WEEK OF EVENT

1. What’s the parking situation?
   There is complimentary on-site parking
   
   
2. Where do I go to check in?
   Our amazing Events team will be there to greet you when you arrive at the venue. They will walk you through the registration process. We highly recommend you arrive early for registration so you can enjoy breakfast prior to the event starting.
   
   
3. What’s the WIFI info?
   There is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the sessopm rooms for the duration of the event. Network details will be provided at the registration desk as well as in the session rooms.
   
   
4. What should I wear?
   We like to keep it business casual. It might be cold in the ballrooms - you might consider bringing a jacket.
   
   
5. What is the weather generally like in Chicago?
   In mid-September, Chicago typically experiences mild and pleasant weather, with the typical days ranging from mid-70°F down to 60°F in the evenings. Best to come prepared for either scenario.
